A Course Helps Students Learn to Cope With Death
Hoping to help his students at Susquehanna University overcome what he calls our "death-denying society," Mark Wm. Radecke escorted his class to a local funeral parlor in February for a "frank conversation about all the questions we are curious about but it's never the right time to ask."
Students also worked with practitioners from a local medical center, and discussed topics like physician-assisted death and breaking bad news, as part of a "multidisciplinary service-learning course"
