A Course Examines the Personal Factors That Make Happiness More Likely

While many psychology courses focus on negative emotions, Todd B. Kashdan, assistant professor of psychology at George Mason University, teaches a course that focuses on how factors related to personality and social relationships make happiness more likely.
The focus on negative emotions makes perfect sense, Mr. Kashdan says, since society is laden with disorders.
