81 Arrested in Protest of Ethnic-Studies Cuts at Berkeley
Eighty-one people were arrested on the campus of the University of California here last week, when security officials tried to end a protest that had been going on for six days outside the chancellor's office.
Robert M. Berdahl, the chancellor, ordered campus police officers to remove the protesters from their makeshift tent city outside California Hall.
