8 States' Job-Training Plans Win Grants from Washington
Washington, D.C. -- People who were wondering how the Clinton Administration's "school to work" legislation would change vocational education have received their most revealing clue.
The eight states named last month to get the first multimillion-dollar grants under the 1993 law all had clear plans for extending reforms into all their cities and towns, and for giving businesses big roles in shaping the reforms.
