$60-Million Deal Bolsters Cluster-Supercomputing Program at Cornell U.
In a multimillion-dollar deal with three heavyweights of the personal-computer industry -- Dell, Intel, and Microsoft -- Cornell University will expand a research center that focuses on high-performance computing. Under the agreement, announced last month, the companies will provide the Cornell Theory Center with $60-million in hardware and software.
