The University of Michigan Health System said this morning that there were no survivors of the crash of a university-leased airplane into Lake Michigan off the coast of Wisconsin on Monday afternoon. The jet had been ferrying organs from Milwaukee for transplant into a patient at the university’s hospital. Besides the plane’s two pilots, the dead were two transplant-donation specialists and two M.D.’s, one of whom was on the university’s medical faculty. A Coast Guard official said the cause of the high-impact crash was not yet known. —Andrew Mytelka
