6 Academics Receive National Honors in Arts and Humanities
President Bush presented the 2007 National Humanities Medals and National Medals of Arts on Thursday during a ceremony at the White House. Six of this year's honorees are academics.
The five academics awarded National Humanities Medals were:
- Stephen H. Balch, president of the National Association of Scholars.
- Victor Davis Hanson, an emeritus professor of classics at California State University at Fresno.
