President Obama made college affordability a major theme in his recent State of the Union address, proposing several new plans to help students pay for college. To illustrate that theme, the White House invited Mahala Greer, a student at the University of Colorado's Denver campus­—who has worked all through college—to sit in the First Lady's box during the speech.
