Asperger's in the Mix
A growing number of students are entering college diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, one of the autism-spectrum disorders, which according to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention affect one in 110 children in the United States. Negotiating campus life can be extremely challenging for those students, who have trouble reading nonverbal cues and struggle with social interactions.
