A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted five more people in connection with an arson fire at a University of Washington research center in 2001 for which the Earth Liberation Front took credit. According to an Associated Press article, two of those indicted were not identified, one is dead, and one has apparently fled the country. The fire did more than $7-million in damage and destroyed laboratories, classrooms, and more than 20 years’ worth of work and records for some professors and researchers (The Chronicle, January 23).
