Memphis police officers have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with last week’s fatal shooting of Taylor Bradford, a University of Memphis football player. The suspect, a 21-year-old student at the university, is said to have hatched the plot, The Commercial Appeal, a local newspaper, reported today. Investigators said he and three other men, arrested on Monday, had planned to rob Mr. Bradford, but botched the holdup attempt. Mr. Bradford had several thousand dollars on him when the police discovered him with fatal wounds in a crashed car. —Anna Weggel
