TRIALS AND ERRORS? Late last month, before a military tribunal at the Guantánamo naval base in Cuba, the former kangaroo skinner David M. Hicks pleaded guilty to "providing material support for terrorism." Mr. Hicks, who volunteered for training at a number of Al Qaeda camps in Afghanistan in 2001, will now serve a prison sentence in his home country of Australia.
