4 New Books Consider Voting Rights in the U.S.
FRANCHISE OPPORTUNITIES: This winter, legislators in Maryland have sparred over a bill that would allow felons to vote as soon as they are released from prison. (Under present Maryland law, former felons may not vote until three years after they have completed their parole.) The governor, Robert L.
