4 Colleges Are Honored for Internationalization Efforts

Four institutions of higher education were named today as recipients of the Paul Simon Award in recognition of their efforts to give their campuses a more international focus. Calvin College, Elon University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and the University of Oklahoma will receive the prize, which is given by Nafsa: Association of International Educators.

The award, which recognizes a variety of internationalization efforts, is named for the late Sen. Paul Simon, Democrat of Illinois, who was an early advocate of study-abroad programs. The association plans to publish more details about this year’s winners and the programs they are being honored for in the fall.
