4 Baylor Professors Are Asked to Resign
Waco, Texas -- Baylor University has asked four members of its journalism department to resign, following accusations that some of them were biased against the program's only woman.
Last month the university offered to buy out the contract of one untenured faculty member, Roger Van Ommeren, and offered what it termed "retirement-incentive packages" to three tenured professors -- William McCorkle, Adrian Vaughan, and Loyal Gould, a former chairman of the department.
