36% of Teams in NCAA Basketball Tournament Failed to Graduate Half of Their Players in 6 Years, Report Says
The road to the Final Four is filled with teams that are failing in the classroom.
So says a report released last week by the Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport at the University of Central Florida.
Of the 65 teams invited to the National Collegiate Athletic Association men's basketball tournament, which tipped off last week, 36 percent did not graduate at least half of their players within six years.
The report looked at graduation rates calculated by the U.S.
