3 Pennsylvania Universities Opt for Wind Power
It's not easy being green. It's not cheap, either.
Nonetheless, three Pennsylvania universities have made a commitment to meet at least 5 percent of their energy needs this year with electricity produced from wind. Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania State University, and the University of Pennsylvania say the environmental benefits are worth the 20-percent premium they expect to pay.
"It's a win, win, win," says Mike Coleman, director of facility services at Penn.
