3 Guarantee Agencies Join Pilot Program
Three agencies that guarantee student loans have received final approval from Education Secretary Roderick R. Paige to participate in the "voluntary flexible agreements" pilot program, which aims to transform the role that guarantors play in the bank-based student-loan program.
Winning approval were American Student Assistance, of Massachusetts; the California Student Aid Commission; and the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation. They join the Great Lakes Higher Education
