3 For-Profit Colleges Buy Institutions
Three owners of for-profit colleges have announced new acquisitions:
- DeVry Inc. last week announced plans to buy a 116-year-old nursing college in St. Louis for $5.3-million.
- Huron Capital Partners, a private-equity investor, has bought a majority interest in Ross Learning, a Michigan company that operates 14 colleges offering training in allied health careers. The colleges enroll about 750 students on campuses in the company's home state and in
