Three University of Minnesota-Twin Cities football players were jailed Friday on suspicion of raping an 18-year-old woman on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning but had not been formally charged as of late Friday, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Bail for the players was set at $100,000.
They were identified as Alex Daniels and Keith Massey, both 20; and E.J. Jones, 19. All three were suspended from the team pending an investigation. —Don Troop
