$2.5-Million Donation to Colby College Is Rescued From Time Capsule
When Harold and Dorothy (Bibby) Alfond said they wanted to put some money into a new building at Colby College, they really meant it.
After the Alfonds recently gave Colby $2.5-million for a residence complex, their check nearly wound up sealed in a time capsule that is to remain closed for 200 years.
