2 Years or 4? The Question Splits Nursing Education
Colleges clash over whether associate-degree recipients should be dubbed R.N.'s
Maryam Haddad will never forget the wide range of backgrounds in her nursing classes at Greenville Technical College, in South Carolina. Some of the students in the associate-degree program came from jobs on assembly lines. Others were grandmothers. Several had recently left abusive relationships.
