2-Year Colleges in Oregon Get Emergency Cash
Oregon's 17 community colleges, which have put thousands of students on waiting lists for lack of money to hire new instructors, recently received their second emergency infusion of cash in six months.
The community colleges received $2.5-million from the state's Legislative Emergency Board late in the fall semester. In June, the board gave the colleges $1.9-million.
Enrollment in the system, which serves about 93,000 full-time students, has increased
