2-Year-College Leader Steps Down in La.
Walter G. Bumphus, who led the Louisiana Community & Technical College System through devastating hurricanes and a major restructuring, has announced plans to resign as president to become a teaching fellow at the University of Texas at Austin in a program that trains future community-college administrators.
