2 Universities Plan Endowments to Support Physicians Who Teach
Harvard University and the University of California at San Francisco plan to create endowments for physicians who spend time teaching.
Each university has committed $10-million to its program, and officials plan to apply for additional grants from foundations in a joint effort. Officials hope the efforts will bolster medical education at teaching hospitals.
