2 Universities Chosen for Research Centers on Agricultural Security
Texas A&M University at College Station and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities have been chosen as the sites for two new centers for research on agricultural security.
The universities will receive $18-million and $15-million, respectively, over the next three years from the Department of Homeland Security.
The Texas A&M center will study potential threats to animal agriculture, including foot-and-mouth disease, Rift Valley fever, and avian influenza. The University
