2 Oklahoma Lawmakers Weigh University Presidencies
Two Democratic members of Oklahoma's House of Representatives are eyeing top jobs in academe in the state.
Rep. Jack Begley has expressed interest in assuming the presidency of Oklahoma Panhandle State University when its president, John Goodwin, retires in January.
Although Mr. Begley has not officially applied for the job, observers of state politics say he would be a strong contender.
Panhandle State, in Goodwell, is his alma mater, and he worked there for 22 years
