2 Education Associations Assail Survey on Student Voter Registration
A survey of colleges' voter-registration policies for students, first reported in the September 17 issue of The Chronicle, has resulted in a dispute involving 10 Democratic members of Congress, 2 higher-education associations, and the study's director of research, at Harvard University.
The survey, which was sponsored by Harvard's Institute of Politics and The Chronicle, found that only about a sixth of the 249 responding colleges were in full compliance with the voter-registration
