Two cities in the metropolitan Atlanta area vied for the affections of Atlanta Christian College on Monday as college officials toured potential relocation sites, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
The 400-student institution, which hopes to triple its enrollment, announced last year that it had outgrown its 50-acre campus in East Point, Ga., just south of downtown Atlanta. In May it narrowed the list of contenders for a new location to two: Newnan and Peachtree City.
Both cities made pitches to campus officials on Monday with personalized tours, multimedia presentations, and pledges to provide various services and facilities. The college’s decision could come as soon as late next month, the Journal-Constitution reported. —Charles Huckabee
