2 Carleton College Academics Work to Bring Back a Tallgrass Prairie
On a brilliant spring afternoon, a gentle breeze tickles the young grasses of a once and future prairie. To a visitor, the vegetation doesn't look like the dense prairie of the history books -- more like the plant kingdom's version of peach fuzz. But Carleton College's Mark McKone and Myles G. Bakke see the tract as it was -- and will be again.
