13 Academics Are Among 2008 MacArthur Fellows
Thirteen people with ties to higher education were among the 25 MacArthur fellows announced this morning by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. The recipients, who represent a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, were selected for their creativity, originality, and potential for future contributions. They each receive a $500,000 award, "no strings attached," to further their work.
