1 in 3 British Universities Faces Operating Deficit, Survey Finds

One of every three universities in Britain expects to be operating in the red by next year, according to a survey by a government agency.

The Higher Education Funding Council found that the number of institutions facing an operating deficit had almost doubled in the past two years.
