1 in 11 Freshmen Reports Having a Disability, Survey Finds

One in 11 college freshmen reports having a disability, up from one in 33 two decades ago, according to a new report by the American Council on Education.

Students are far likelier to report a learning disability than any other kind, the report says.

The report, "College Freshmen With Disabilities: A Biennial Statistical Profile," was based on an annual survey of college freshmen conducted by the Cooperative Institutional Research Program.
