E-Mail Newsletters

The Chronicle publishes seven e-mail newsletters -- Academe Today, Afternoon Update, Academe This Week, The Chronicle Review Newsletter, The Community-College Newsletter, On Hiring, and The Wired Campus. All recipients of The Chronicle's e-mail newsletters have requested to receive the newsletter, so you can be assured that your ad will be seen by active, interested readers.

Each e-mail newsletter has two ad positions. Pricing and banner sizes differ between the primary and secondary ad slots. Visit the links below for more detailed information.

    Each weekday morning, this e-mail provides summaries of the top news stories of the day, with links to more extensive coverage on this Web site. Of readers who receive Academe Today, more than half forward the e-mail reports on to colleagues. The total readership of the e-mail is approximately 195,000.     The Wired Campus E-Mail

    The Wired Campus E-mail is a daily roundup of news and opinion at the intersection between IT and academe. Wired Campus covers the issues that impact education-technology professionals — from research and business news to legal matters and electronic epidemics. More than 14,000 Chronicle readers receive the Wired Campus e-mail. The Wired Campus e-mail is available in HTML only.

    Ad Trafficking

    Third-party

    Advertisers who wish to traffic e-mail newsletter ads through a third-party ad server must submit banner creative along with a third-party click command tag.

    Site-served

    Advertisers who do not traffic e-mail newsletter ads through a third-party server must submit banner creative along with a live click-through URL.



    Reporting

    Advertisers who choose not to traffic ads through a third party service are encouraged to submit unique tracking URL's or add tracking codes to existing click-through URL's. The Chronicle does not provide tracking for ads in the e-mail newsletters.
